This site is intended as a resource for library staff to aid them in the use of technology in the provision of multicultural library services.

Web directory
The Open Road [http://www.openroad.vic.gov.au/] directory providing links to electronic LOTE resources by language.
  
Forums
Forums and mailing lists to facilitate discussion of the provision of multicultural library services, and to provide an avenue of online support for the Open Road site.
  
Configuration
An electronic copy of the Open Road training manuals. It provides instructions on configuring workstations for multilingual internet access, and a quick checklist of fonts required for the Open Road directory.
Resources
It is possible, that a library client may require access to material in a language not indexed on the Open Road directory. A resource guide is available to offer some starting points in exploring other languages on the internet.
Reference
The reference pages have a dual function. They offer access to reference resources on countries, languages and cultures. In addition they provide links to federal and state government web sites that contain multilingual information.
Possibilities
A number of articles and conference papers dealing with multicultural library services and technology have been published. This section provides links to these resources.
Examples
This section is an introduction to a variety of sites that have used the internet to service a variety of need for multicultural library services.

The Links pages will attempt to collect together links to organisations. library associations or working groups and government departments that deal with multilingual or mutlicultural populations or immigration issues, and to library associations, working.
Policy & research
The Policy & research pages will attempt to collect together policies, standards, sources of statistics, and other resources and tools to assist in service planning and research.
